The L163 USCG/MED/ATEX lifebuoy light is designed for automatic activation. You simply release the lifebuoy to which the unit is attached (battery is activated when the light is pulled from its housing). It has been specifically tested for use in hazardous environments such as tankers and oil rigs.
*NOTE: mounting plate should be ordered to ensure easy fixing when replacing the L41B or L120 Part No 777801
